A brief history of Warsaw's cuisine

Traditional Warsaw cuisine was shaped by various cultures and has a wide variety of different versions.

The dishes served in the capital were influenced by the culinary traditions of different nations (Jews, Armenians, French), but also by different social classes and strata.

The Warsaw large-industrial working class had completely different food traditions than the financial and intellectual elite.

Not only did the wonderful pre-war recipes survive, but many anecdotes straight from old Warsaw restaurant as well. Just ask our staff.

I can definitely recommend this restaurant, interior in the basement of the market square, decorated with mirrors and interesting paintings. On Saturday, May 9th, I had a family dinner there for my son's birthday. There was a specially selected menu from snacks to desserts, everything was tasty and fresh.

I don't remember the last time I've been to such a good restaurant and had such a delicious meal :) The first time my husband and I were here was on our wedding anniversary. When we visited last weekend, we ordered a roast duck and an ice cream dessert with fruit - heaven in mouth. I have absolutely nothing to complain about. Everything was tasty, fresh, served in a very elegant and aesthetic way. Very polite and friendly staff. Really great!!
